In section 'The Packages collection': there is no link to packages-5-stable,
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-5-stable

but only
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-stable

Should that directory be linked?

This should be fixed now (in revision 1.65 of www/en/where.sgml). 
The changes will appear online after the next scheduled web build.
