sis driver does not work on amd64 platform for 5.x release.
It works on OpenBSD and NetBSD. It is known that these guys ported FBSD sis driver. I am getting 
sis0: Ethernet address: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
from boot.

Fix: 

change sis driver and put a new ISO image for download
How-To-Repeat: Boot an amd64 box with, say, sis 900 network card installed.

Does this still occur with 6.2?
