      Booting standard boot floopy set, machine locks up after message
"uhci0: [GIANT LOCKED]"

4.9 did not have this problem.

How-To-Repeat:       Boot the standard 3 floppies for 5.3 on Compaq Armada 4210T.

Are you able to retest with a more recent version of FreeBSD and see if
this is still a problem?

This machine now has 6.0-GENERIC installed.
The problem reported in i386/79268 no longer occurs.
