      the 'anti-robot' input field at http://www.freebsd.org/send-pr.html requires the alphanumeric string to be entered uppercase.  while the string on the picture _is_ uppercase, some people don't think that case matters when using it for the first time.

Actually it requires the input to be the same case as the image (which 
might be lower case); I will look at adding a notification of case 
sensitivity here.
