On Sunday 12 June 2005 21:00, the author Chen Cin Lung contributed to the dialogue on- java/82183: Cannot install Java 1.5, lots of missing file and cannot find the file anywhere on FeeBSD: <snip all> I think you just need to install glib david -- 40 yrs navigating and computing in blue waters. English Owner & Captain of British Registered 60' bluewater Ketch S/V Taurus. Currently in San Diego, CA. Sailing May/June bound for Europe via Panama Canal. Where can I get the files? I got the following information: Fetch ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/freebsd/ports/distfiles/rpm/i386/8.0/glibc-common- 2.3.2-4.80.8.amd64.rpm: No address record Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this port manually into /usr/ort/distfiles/rpm/amd64/8.0 and try again. I went to the ftp sites listed and cannot find the specified file above. Do you have any clues or maybe the files? State Changed From-To: open->feedback This looks a little like you were trying this before Linux emulation was correctly supported on amd64. It should be trying to download i386 RPMs, not amd64 RPMs. This is definitely fixed now, so please make sure your ports collection is up to date and try again.
