The Asus motherboard K8S-MX is not compatible with FreeBSD because it uses a
proprietary driver for its Sata controller (SiS) that is available only for
Windows. FreeBSD won't detect SATA drives even after a Bios update.

I suspect this has something to do with AMD-64 motherboards, which is Pav's project. 
(Did not validate this though).
