|Severity:||Affects Only Me|
Description Ian Walker 2005-10-10 19:10:17 UTC
Cannot mount a FAT disk on USB Iomega Zip750 drive as root. Get "permission denied" and later "Resource temporarily unavailable". Also, devfs (??) seems to have found a partition inside of a partition (/dev/da1s4s4). Fix: None How-To-Repeat: Boot system with Zip750 plugged in, su to root. 1) ll /dev/da1* shows da1, da1s4, and da1s4s4 2) "mount_msdosfs /dev/da1s4 /mnt" (as root) gives "Permission denied" 3) After 30 seconds or so, mount switches to "Resource temporarily unavailable"

State Changed From-To: open->feedback So you still own that device and could test whether it works properly under FreeBSD 7.x or even better yet FreeBSD 8.x?

>>So you still own that device and could test whether it works properly under >>FreeBSD 7.x or even better yet FreeBSD 8.x? This falls under the "Holy crap. Are you kidding?" heading. I think I stopped using Zip drives around the time it stopped working on BSD. Sorry :( I have to say, it is good to know that someone will always get around to fixing bugs...even if it is five years later.
