              I am really new to FreeBSD.  When i install FreeBSD 5.4, I
have error BTX halted! and I can't continue any more.

Fix: 

I have error BTX halted!

You are going to have to provide a *real* bug report for us to do anything 
about this.  What make+model of CPU?  What make+model of motherboard? 
What BIOS version?  Was there any register dump output?
