Description Oliver Fromme 2006-02-08 17:40:03 UTC
Here's a new entry for the FreeBSD User Groups webpage.
The group is called BSE (BSD Social Event), it's located
in München (Munich), Germany. The homepage of BSE is at
http://bse.42.org/ and the mailinglist is at bse@42.org.
The group has been established already about two years ago,
there are regularly meetings ("Stammtisch") every 4 weeks.

The following is a suggested HTML entry for the webpage:

<dt><a name="europe-bse" href="http://bse.42.org/"
id="europe-bse">BSE M&uuml;nchen</a></dt>

<dd>
<p>BSE (BSD Social Event) is located in M&uuml;nchen
(Munich), Germany. Feel free to visit our "Stammtisch"
(regulars' table) or join the mailing list. For details
  see <a href="http://bse.42.org">the BSE web site</a>.
</dd>

First of all, thank you very much for taking care of it.

I would like to kindly ask you to take the original text
from my PR. The meetings are every four weeks, not every
month. That's a difference. ;-) Also, I think it
shouldn't be mentioned that they're on Thursday, because
that might change in the future, and I would like to
avoid sending a PR each time it changes. Pointing to the
web page for detailed information should be enough.

Also, would it be possible to make the <name> tag contain
"BSE (BSD Social Event)"? There are already so many
groups starting with "BSD". I also think that most of
the BSE members have forgotten that "SE" means "Social
Event". :-) Anyway, if you insist on your proposed
version of the <name> tag, it's OK.

Thanks again!

Best regards
   Oliver

what's the difference?
1 month = 4 weeks, am I not right? :-)

can be "BSD Social Event (BSE)" ?
this one match the current style of the document more

Not exactly: Most months are longer than 28 days, which
leads to the fact that there are sometimes two meetings
in the same month (one at the very beginning and one at
the very end).

I don't think I needs to seriously argue about that. :-)

Well, the official name is "BSE München" (as you can see
in the title and top heading on http://bse.42.org).
Therefore, I would prefer "BSE M&uuml;nchen" for the
name tag.

(Or, if you want, add the expanded name in parentheses:
"BSE M&uuml;nchen (BSD Social Event)", but that's not
necessary, because the expanded name is already mentioned
in the text paragraph.)

Thank you!

Not really. If the meeting are exactly every 28 days, there may be
months with 2 meetings :)

Hello,

I hope that this one you like more. Sorry for being so slow on this,
but had a bunch of other things to do. Now let's wait for remko as he
is probably going to commit it. :-)

Hello,

I hope that I'm not sending this the second time, but I haven't seen
it to show up in PR, so let's try once more.
I'm sorry it took that much time to submit new diff, but I had too
   many other things to do.
I hope that the diff is all right now.

Yes, I like it. Thanks!

No problem at all. BSE already exists for two years, so
a few days of waiting don't matter much. :-)

Thank you very much for your assistance!

OK.
