Description Gabor Kovesdan 2006-03-07 13:00:17 UTC
The release notes of 6.0R for each architecture says:

GNU GCC has been updated from from 3.4.2-prerelease as of 28 July, 2004 to 3.4.4.

Here stands the 'from' word two times.

Fix:

I don't know how these html files are generated so I haven't attached a patch.

I've found where the typo is but it is in the RELENG_6_0 branch. I don't
know if it's possible to fix and regenerate, since it is just a small
typo. Here's the patch anyway.

State Changed
From-To: open->closed

After a release has been cut, we generally don't make changes to the
release documentation except for well-defined means, such as the release
errata. After a release branch has been handed over to the security team,
(as was done for 6.0 many months ago) it's even less likely.
It's unfortunate that we had this typo, but it doesn't really
hurt the meaning, so I'm going to leave things the way they are.

I do appreciate your noticing and taking the time to file a PR.
If you find other fixes (in particular, for releases that have yet
to be finalized, so we are actually in a position to make changes)
please let us know with a new PR. Thanks!
