Description Boris Kovalenko 2006-09-14 05:30:21 UTC
I have NetMos NM9835 card. When I compile kernel with device puc, I have no
problem to get card working. But when puc is loaded as module (puc_load="YES"
in /boot/loader.conf) it fails to install sio ports. /var/log/messages attached,
puc module is compiled with PUC_DEBUG=1

Fix: Not known for me.

How-To-Repeat: Remove device puc from kernel, recompile and install it. Load puc as module.

This problem still persists on 8.1-RELEASE with the following card:

puc0@pci0:3:1:0:        class=0x070002 card=0x00041000 chip=0x98459710
rev=0x01 hdr=0x00
    vendor = 'MosChip Semiconductors (Was: Netmos Technology)'
    device = '4 serial, 1 parallel port PCI card (NM9845CV)'
    class      = simple comms
    subclass   = UART
