green_saver does not switch DVI monitor power off, just blanks a screen. Backlight stays on. There is no problem when monitor connected via analog VGA cable. Additional information: - VGA: nVidia GeForce 6200 TC or 7600 GS; - Monitor: ViewSonic VG920 connected via DVI; - /etc/rc.conf: saver="green" allscreens_flags="MODE_282" # 1280x1024 How-To-Repeat: Connect LCD monitor via DVI. Load green_saver. Wait for screensaver timeout.
Hi, I can confirm this. My hardware is a GeForce 6600 and an EIZO S1910 conected via DVI. I found out that this monitor uses DMPM instead of DMPS to switch the monitor off when using DVI. May be it's still not implemented in green_saver. regards -Stefan -- Technische Universität Chemnitz Institut für Fertigungstechnik/Schweißtechnik Telefon: +49 (0) 371/531 32403 Telefax: +49 (0) 371/531 23729
