The amount of information you are presenting is a start, but sadly not enough. That said, it's probably difficult to get this information straight from a LiveCD because it might not issue a coredump to the memory which can be extracted later. Are you in the position to install 7.0 on the disk and see what is happening then? (in that case we can probably get a coredump one way or the other). Dear Remko, sorry for my late answer. I found your mail today in my spamfolder. Well, the problem is that I have no chance to install 7.0 on disk, because the system already hangs during initial boot phase. So what can I do? Looks like there is a serious problem with the BX/ZX chipset. I have the = same problem on a MSI main board. FreeBSD 6.3 works fine, 7.0 doesn't.=20
...perhaps, but if so, it looks like only very few people are using such an "old" chipset - nobody except us seem to have such problems. :-(( I think this fault is still ignored by FreeBSD development. -Wanninger Michiel van Dijk schrieb: > Looks like there is a serious problem with the BX/ZX chipset.
