While using tmux I discovered that TERM=rxvt was not handled correctly.
The problem is fixed if :AX: is added to rxvt capabilities.
:AX: is not referenced in man 5 termcap.

    Does understand ANSI set default fg/bg color (`\E[39m / \E[49m').

AX is not in the manpage for termcap because it is an extension used by
"screen".  It would be used if some of the standard parts of the termcap
entry were missing.
