I try to install 8.0-CURRENT from:

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/200902/

on my notebbok Asus EEE PC 1000h with USB CD/DVD ROM drive, but I'm getting this message:

No CD/DVD devices found 


btw. freeBSD 7.1 installation on the same hardware works without problems.

Fix: 

there is a problem with the new USB2

/usr/src/UPDATING
20090215:
The GENERIC kernels for all architectures now default to the new USB2
stack. . . .
How-To-Repeat: install 8.0-CURRENT from:

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/200902/

on the notebbok Asus EEE PC 1000h

There is not enough information to analyze given issue, and because of bug age, receiving additional information is difficult. Moreover, used FreeBSD version is no longer supported.
