Description Giuseppe Cocomazzi 2010-04-22 14:50:01 UTC
Hi,
I've written a huge patch which implements vdso support and shared page subsystem for freebsd. Unfortunately, I've been waiting for a review
for quite a long time and, after some positive responses, silence overcame, so the code became a bit old, also due to my difficulty in keeping the source up-to-date.
I understand that now it is very unlikely for the patch to be seriously considered, however I provide the links to the code and a little explanatory paper, in case someone is interested:

patch: http://sbudella.altervista.org/stuff/shared_page_vdso.patch
paper: http://sbudella.altervista.org/stuff/shared_page_vdso.note
tgz: http://sbudella.altervista.org/stuff/shared_page_vdso.tgz

Feedback would be very appreciated.
Thanks for your attention,

Giuseppe Cocomazzi

Links are stale and all data seem to be lost. Alas, this one never can
be completed.

hi mr Kostyrko, the links to the files are always working, but the
free server web on which the files are on seems to apply some stupid
redirect. however, I attached to this mail the complete patch together
with the explaining paper.
Keep me updated on what will be going on regarding my work, since it
received no feedback at all at the time of its release.
thank you very much,
- giuseppe

^Triage: note: the patch contained in the .gz file applies to file
lib/csu/i386-elf/crt1.c et. seq.

I am going to hazard a guess that these patches are stale by now.
