Description sk8harddiefast 2010-05-04 13:30:02 UTC
When i try to format an hdd with sysinstall and sade hdd cannot create slice.

I have a 500 giga hdd (ad4), i say A for entire disk (on partition part).
ok. Creates ad4s1. I press write and now i am going to Label it. I choose
C option (all the available mb), i create a slice named ad4s1d on /mnt/500g
and i write changes.Exit from sade or sysinstall.
Now on my /dev i have:
ad4
ad4s1
but nowhere ad4s1d!

sysinstall has been replaced by bsdinstall in FreeBSD 9.x. Closing.
