The port defines USE_RAKE without USE_RUBYGEMS which leads to RAKE_BIN that contains invalid value. Fix: Below is a workaround How-To-Repeat: $ make -V RAKE_BIN RUBY_VER=1.9 /bin/rake19 $ make [...] ===> Building for mkvtoolnix-4.5.0 env: /bin/rake19: No such file or directory *** Error code 127
