-update to 2.3pre2
-utf-8 patch is now included, adjust option accordingly
-ipv6 patch must be processed before application
-patch configure and configure.in scripts to include the necessary headers when checking for netinet/ip.h (they are included by default in links.h) -- this will allow the check to succeed, and hence ftp may be used with IPTOS_THROUGHPUT
-replace a part of the png handler that has been deprecated in recent versions of libpng
