The ata driver with an option ATA_CAM can't detect а CD device in a Citrix XenServer virtual machine. Therefore, it's impossible to install FreeeBSD 9.0-RELEASE from a CD/DVD image. When i'm trying to boot from CD the loader boot the kernel that can't see a CD device and can't mount root. On console I get: Trying to mount root from cd9660:/dev/iso9660/FREEBSD_INSTALL [ro]... mountroot: waiting for device /dev/iso9660/FREEBSD_INSTALL ... Mounting from cd9660:/dev/iso9660/FREEBSD_INSTALL failed with error 19. Was this Citrix XenServer 5.x? I've successfully done installs from a real CD and an ISO on XenServer 6.x.

I'm unable to install FreeBSD 9.0 from an ISO image on Citrix XenServer 5.0.0. And I also successfully installed FreeBSD 9.0 on Citrix XenServer 6.0.
XenServer 5.x is EOL so I'm just going to close this bug. FreeBSD works fine on the 6.x series.
