Hi, I would really appreciate it if I could select 'server' or 'desktop' installation at install time, which would (or would not) add 'WITHOUT_X11="YES"' to /etc/make.conf. With every installation I do, I think of this too late, polluting my system with libs I don't need. I'm quite sure that most FreeBSD installations are server installs that don't need X. And it's okay if you'd like to try and get more desktop users to use your system. But it would be equally okay to support more 'traditional' users to keep their systems clean. Thanks for considering, Rob Fix: Add a yes/no to the installation. How-To-Repeat: Do a fresh install.

Adopt or abort... After 9 years I think it's clear that nobody is going to adopt this bug. So let's just abort it, and keep bugzilla clean and manageable.
