Description Mike Manilone 2012-07-25 00:10:10 UTC
After inserting the USB stick, /dev won't create a device for it, but the system can detect it.

Information from dmesg(8):
    ugen1.5: <HP> at usbus1
    umass0: <HP v210w, class 0/0, rev 2.00/11.00, addr 5> on usbus1
    umass0:  SCSI over Bulk-Only; quirks = 0x0100
    umass0:6:0:-1: Attached to scbus6

Maybe there's not a driver for it? It works on Fedora 17 and Windows XP.

Fix:

Write a driver?
How-To-Repeat: Insert the USB stick

Hi,

Try to add a MSC quirk for your ugenX.Y device using usbconfig.

usbconfig -d X.Y add_quirk UQ_MSC_NO_SYNC_CACHE

Then re-insert the device.
