Description Bas Smeelen 2012-11-02 20:00:00 UTC
SU+J is default on new installs.
This is a problem when using snapshot functionality e.g. dump a live filesystem and also for SSD this is not recommended.
I would like to have the installer to default to just SU and experienced users can turn journaling on.
See also the discussion on the list: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2012-November/070360.html

Fix: Workaround is to disable this afterwards, but a better solution is to not default to this, experienced users can enable this, since most installs will be on SSD nowadays and a lot of users will be using dump -L so this default would be not desired.

Patch attached with submission follows:
How-To-Repeat: Install from 9.1-RC2 ISO (even 9.0 or later) and do a dump -0Lauf
snapshot is not supported with journaled soft updates
