Description Xin LI freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2012-11-08 21:50:00 UTC
Currently DTrace requires the kernel being uncompressed. It
would be desirable to have it automatically use corresponding
decompress libraries to access kernel if it's compressed with e.g.
gzip(1).

Fix:

Not yet. This is a note so it wouldn't be forgotten.
How-To-Repeat: gzip /boot/kernel/kernel (with loader support of LOADER_GZIP_SUPPORT,
which is default), boot the system and try dtrace -l.

I believe someone just said the phrase "all things DTrace" in my presence.
