This error [Error while extracting base.txz: Lzma library: Corrupted input data] appears when I try installing FreeBSD 10.0-ALPHA1 i386 in a virtual environment. How-To-Repeat: Download FreeBSD 10.0-ALPHA1 ISO image and install it on VirtualBox.
This problem, so far, happens on Windows 8 when using VirtualBox. The same .ISO works on Linux. Have not tried it on Mac (do not own one).
State Changed From-To: open->feedback Hi Yass, do you also see this with the final 10.0-RELEASE ISOs?
Christian i've never encountered this when installing 10.0-RELEASE ISO

Sorry about the delayed reply, at the time of this question I didn't install 10-RELEASE. But no, it only happened with 10-ALPHA. I guess it is solved.
I have the same error trying to install FreeBSD 14 (20230706) in VirtualBox 7.0.8 on macOS 10.15.17. The base.tgz is downloaded, checksum verification is passed, and extraction fails with "Lzma library error: Corrupted input data". Any chance to reopen the bug?
I must say that I've tried "fetch https://download.freebsd.org/snapshots/amd64/14.0-CURRENT/base.txz" on FreeBSD 13.2. Then "tar tf" showed no error.
