The port fails to build. This is a copy of the build log.

This is an odd error. I can confirm that it happens on 9.1-RELEASE (i386 & 
amd64.) However, I could not reproduce it on 9.2-RELEASE (i386).

I also see exactly the same symptom both with portmaster and 'make
install' on the system indicated below, which is not running the new pkg
system.
