Description John Marino freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2014-08-29 10:02:24 UTC
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/porters-handbook/porting-testing.html

This section looks outdated to me:

Procedure 3.1. Recommended Test Ordering

It doesn't mention "make check-plist" or "make stage-qa". The "make check-orphans" I believe is part of "make check-plist".

This is important to fix because I ask a lot of people to prove their new port works, they follow these instructions, but still errors pass that could be caught.

Somebody should look this over to see if better testing on new ports can be had (in the absence of poudriere)
