Description dave 2014-09-02 20:51:38 UTC
The documentation for ntpq(8), both web and disk, has some irritating spelling mistakes in the section under "Tally Codes".

"outlier" is spelled as "outlyer" twice.

"candidate" is spelled as "candidat".

I have flagged this as "Affects Many People" because there's probably quite a few pedantic people like me around.

Thanks.

Thanks, Dave. After asking the upstream ntpq(8) maintainer, I created the following bug report in their system so it can be fixed: http://bugs.ntp.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2886. I've added cy@ to the cc list so he can close this report once the upstream changes have made it into FreeBSD.

"outlier" seems to be the correct spelling according to the sources I checked.

In the current codebase, "candidate" is the spelling that is there.
