The documentation for ntpq(8), both web and disk, has some irritating spelling mistakes in the section under "Tally Codes". "outlier" is spelled as "outlyer" twice. "candidate" is spelled as "candidat". I have flagged this as "Affects Many People" because there's probably quite a few pedantic people like me around. Thanks. -- Dave
Thanks, Dave. After asking the upstream ntpq(8) maintainer, I created the following bug report in their system so it can be fixed: http://bugs.ntp.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2886. I've added cy@ to the cc list so he can close this report once the upstream changes have made it into FreeBSD.
"outlier" seems to be the correct spelling according to the sources I checked. In the current codebase, "candidate" is the spelling that is there. H (for ntp.org/nwtime.org)
