Upgrading from FreeBSD 10.1 i386 RC4 to FreeBSD 10.1 i386 Release.
Followed handbook upgrade procedure.
kernel built and installed.
make installworld results in error:

make: "/usr/src/Makefile" line 270: check your date/time: Tue Nov 11 09:21:51 EST 2014

I already ran adjkerntz -i after entering single user mode.

Solved.

Running adjkerntz -i before invoking csh rather than after was ineffective.
