I would like to appologize for late reply. I am not able to reproduce this problem. The applying of patches passes without any problem on latest FreeBSD 10.0 and 10.1. Are you still able to reproduce problem?
Portsmon says this port builds fine. Closing (unable to reproduce) - maintainer says it's good as well.
