Could you please be so kind and develop such feature: if port is marked as deleted, but previous version exists portmaster just fails and exits now, but it could suggest deletion (or do it auto if -y is implied) and go on further scanning for updates in case of -a is implied. Thank you.

It is possible to develop the requested functionality, but I'm afraid that this could lead to the deletion of working ports from a system, only because the port is no longer maintained (and the person doing the updates did not carefully check the list of actions proposed). But this feature could be made optional and only active when a command line option specifically activates it. This will take some work to implement, but I agree it would be useful. I'll consider implementing a more intelligent behavior in case of a deleted port in an upcoming version (but don't hold your breath).
