sysctl dev.cpu.0 causes kernel panic: page fault

How-To-Repeat:
 Grep an IBM ThinkPad T20, select BIOS-Defaults, install 10.1-RELEASE and reboot.

It's an old Laptop, but 10.0-RELEASE it works fine.
