Seamless mode don't work on FreeBSD Guest i386 using virtualbox-ose-additions-4.3.22. The kernel continuously shows a message "vboxguest: VBoxGuestFreeBSDIOCtl: bad size 0; pArg=0xc7c63150 Cmd=3222296069." with a interval of about 1 second. If the process "/usr/local/bin/VBoxClient --seamless" is killed the message ends. My guest system: FreeBSD xareu 10.1-RELEASE-p5 FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p5 #0: Tue Jan 27 08:52:50 UTC 2015 root@amd64-builder.daemonology.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
FreeBSD 10.1-STABLE #0 r278906: Tue Feb 17 19:09:13 UTC 2015 root@releng1.nyi.freebsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64 Presently running FreeBSD 10.1 release natively with no problems. Trying to experiment with FreeBSD 10.1 stable using Vbox hosted on Win7. Following error is being repeatedly written into log "2015-02-22 10:06:23 "hostname" kernel vboxguest: VBoxGuestFreeBSDIOCtl: bad size 0; pArg=0xfffffe010f863a20 Cmd=3222296069". It appears as if either the ose-additions or VirtualBox is not accetpting the native resolution of my monitor which is 1366x768. The message posted below appears repeatedly in my Xorg log. Right now display is using Gallium pipe and Xrender, so I have no 3d support or openGL visuals. I gather that the shared folder and seamless mode are not working with a FreeBSD guest as well. At least mine are not. Mouse integration is "on" and I can not really differentiate between seamless mode and this quirk, i.e. no differance in operation. I can post a ton of stuff that I've already looked at but I'm hoping this problem is at the easy end of the spectrum and won't require that. Maybe some help with more verbose logging settings might help with finding this. I can confirm this issue on a 64 bit FreeBSD guest running VB 5.0.16 on a Win10 host. VBox additions is version 4.3.36 (as part of the ports) and the corresponding modifications as outlined in https://wiki.freebsd.org/VirtualBox#Installing_Guest_Additions_for_FreeBSD_guests have been implemented. Gnome fails as part of the session initialisation process when /usr/local/bin/VBClient-all invokes /usr/local/bin/VBClient --seamless. Foul play between the guest additions and the host VB instance in terms of protocol issues?
We have vesion 5.2.4. I think this is overcome by events.
We have version 5.2.6. Is this still a problem?
Yes. Seamless mode is disabled in menus.

The package message was improved in 2021; please ensure that the required virtual graphics controller is set before starting the guest.
