Description Ivan Rozhuk 2015-03-22 15:16:00 UTC
/usr/local/etc/dovecot does not created after install
Comment 1 Adam Weinberger freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2015-03-22 15:29:22 UTC
It does install the configuration files, but not where you expect them, and there's nothing telling you where they are.

They're in /usr/local/share/doc/dovecot/example-config/. I'll update pkg-message to do a better job pointing you to them.

Author: adamw
Date: Sun Mar 22 15:36:32 UTC 2015
New revision: 381930
URL: https://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/ports/381930

Log:
Do a better job of explaining where the default configuration files
come from. Not bumping PORTREVISION as this change will only benefit
people who don't already have dovecot installed.

Thanks for this PR. Are the instructions clearer now?

Author: adamw
Date: Tue Mar 24 17:38:35 UTC 2015
New revision: 382128
URL: https://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/ports/382128

Log:
Move the sample configuration files into ETCDIR.

After talking more with Rozhuk Ivan (submitter of 198792, see r381930),
the sample configuration files don't belong in DOCSDIR, and they really
don't belong underneath an OPTION that many people have disabled by
  default.

I still don't think that they're good candidates for @sample, but they
make more sense living in ETCDIR.

While here, shuffle around a few other docs/examples files.

PORTREVISION bump for the plist changes.
