On my HP Elitebook 2530p laptop loading the i915kms module causes a significant decrease in use hours and thus increase in Watts used. I have the drm.i915.enable_rc6=7 in loader.conf

Running FreeBSD 10.1-STABLE r280615 amd64

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=193500 I think it is a duplicate. Setting hw.drm.msi=0 in loader.conf fixes it.
