Makefile.diffs that allow port to be built

Re-establish acroread9-9.5.5_1 wrapper (not available in FBDS-9.3, even after SVN checkout). This application IS REQUIRED for my work place as it is the only non-Windows application that allows the work-required digital signatures.

NOTE: "libgtkembedmoz.so" IS NOT REQUIRED to run acroread9. It is merely one of two options that CAN be used to render HTML. Since there doesn't seem to be a ready source for this library - merely remove if from the Makefile. Acroread still runs and performs on non-HTML documents. One can always try "libxul.so" instead if needed for HTML rendering. This is NOT, however required for non-HTML documents.

you don't address the reason it was removed in the first place:

port deleted on 2014-08-30
REASON: Deprecated: many security issues are reported and Adobe no longer actively supports Adobe Reader for Unix
Comment 2 Jim D. 2015-12-14 15:59:08 UTC
Lack of Adobe support and reported security issues aside, this is the only
"free" PDF signing application available for FreeBSD. Caveats can be included in the port build but so long as the S/W is still available (which it is) without a suitable free SIGNING PDF application to replace it, this port/package/application should remain available. It still works and is needed.

you can't push security concerns aside.
Comment 4 John Marino freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2015-12-14 16:01:15 UTC
you know you can just maintain the port locally, right?
Comment 5 Jim D. 2015-12-14 17:48:29 UTC
Sufficient warnings can be included in the port build to signify security
issues. If, however, this is the ONLY FREE PDF SIGNING application available
for FreeBSD, then as the end user I should have the discretionary right to
override the security warning understanding that I then have no recourse in
the event of a security failure. As mentioned before - there IS no other free
PDF signing application/port available for FreeBSD.

As there's no more interest in this, and as there are options if anyone insists on using the port, I'm closing this.
Comment 7 Jim D. 2016-12-13 05:28:38 UTC
Preserving a local copy of the acroread9 port which has been removed from the ports tree.

Another discourse about the disappearance of acroread9:

Can't argue with security/vulnerabilty issues. Nevertheless, the acroread9 port remains the only FBSD PDF digital certificate signing capable application.
