Created attachment 161467 [details]
Spanish translation of the NanoBSD article.

The attached patch includes a .po file which contains a Spanish translation of the NanoBSD article. I used the following steps to test it.

1) Place the .po file inside the /es_ES.ISO8859-1/articles/nanobsd folder.
2) make tran
3) make

It seems to be working without a hitch and it produces a correctly translated document.

Thank you very much for the effort Federico. Nevertheless, the translation contains quite a lot of typos and uses terms that pertain more to the Latin American Spanish than to es_ES.

If you both agree (Warren and you), please let me two or three days to propose a revised version of the .po file.

Hi, Juan

Can you point out exactly what the Latin-American terms are? I'm fairly certain, that this patch written from the neutral standpoint. This may help me to avoid mistakes when I'm translating other parts of the documentation.

Anyway, I noticed a few problems myself and I'm planning to upload a revised version tomorrow if you can point out the problematic bits (aside from the few typos I noted myself) I'll have them fixed.
Comment 3 Federico Caminiti 2015-10-01 02:23:55 UTC
On a side note, if you were planning to translate other parts of the documentation we should probably coordinate our efforts so as not to translate the same documents at the same time (or maybe we could split the larger bits, such as the Handbook). This is probably a topic for a separate discussion on @translators though.

Thank you both.

I suggest creating a review for this at
https://reviews.freebsd.org/differential/

This will allow easier review and makes it possible to add line-by-line notes.

Some instructions are at
https://wiki.freebsd.org/CodeReview

Note that it is not necessary to install the command-line client, reviews can be created and updated from the web. Additional reviewers can also see the changes and make suggestions.

Hi Federico!

I did not have time yesterday to revise more than a fifth of the document. You will find in the diff below what changes I've been making: mostly typos (accented letters) but also the use of some anglicisms (e.g. bootear, removido, ports). For the latter, some controversy is expected and welcomed, let's discuss it.

Good idea. Easier to work there than here. Unfortunately I have not a lot of free time until the next week. See you soon.
Comment 7 Federico Caminiti 2015-10-03 16:58:42 UTC
Hi, I've created a differential review in Phabricator so we can discuss it over there. I wanted to do that yesterday but didn't have enough time.

It can be found at: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D3790 . I fixed all of the mistakes I've found so far, but it's allways possible I missed something.

Cheers!
