Now that Lumina-Desktop is qt5 based, I have been slowly working to transition over to all qt5 based applications so that I can remove qt4 from my system completely. When qmmp was updated from 0.9.0 to 1.0.0, it was updated to the qt5 framework, it would be nice if this port was updated to the latest version. After talking with Ken Moore at Ohio Linuxfest, he mentioned about him talking with Kris about changing the media player in PCBSD from smplayer to vlc so that the entire system would be qt5. This request is being made in the same vein of thinking.
(In reply to q5sys from comment #0) Thank you for your report and using qmmp through my port. I'm working for new stable versions that consist of qmmp-1.0.x series on Qt5 and qmmp-0.9.x series on Qt4, so that multimedia/qmmp to be updated soon. The upstream has these two stable versions and two developing versions 1.1.x and 0.10.x together. FreeBSD port for the version 1.0.0 is ready to be released at my test build repository: https://github.com/liangtai/FreeBSD-ports . You may find 16 branches here, include 'cmake' branch that is similar to the official port tree. Qt5 build is ready at either 'qt5/cmake' or 'qt5/qmake' branches. Of course 'separated/*' branches also work well, I hope, and any comments and requests are welcome. I have a plan to the both versions live together by escaping all files of the version 0.9.x series with suffixing '-qt4', then move it on a new multimedia/qmmp-qt4 port. Now my Qt4 qmake build (master branch) is almost completed on this plan and will be added in my GitHub repository soon.
