@Michael: hike 1.2.3 is still required by sprockets 2.x (devel/rubygem-sprockets{,211,22}). Is there any existing or new port which depends on hike 2.x?

Not that I would be aware of. Due to the rubygems.org API, these ports depend on hike:

Only "flowckerc" needs hike ~> 2.1.3. But this gem hasn't made it into to ports tree yet and I also can't find any pr.
I saw hike on portscout.org outdated and thought I could write a patch, but I must admit that I didn't thought that through yesterday.
Sorry, I guess I was too fast with this patch. Sorry for the circumstances.
