Description s_mitu@os.rim.or.jp 2016-06-04 23:29:26 UTC
For using the Camera module in the RaspberryPi 1, I did https://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD/arm/Raspberry%20Pi%20Camerathe, but RaspberryPi 1 did not boot.
I got start_x.elf from https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/blob/fbe36330696cc82a87fc24ad5b5f896be2b1460f/boot/start_x.elf (is same date of rpi-boot-files-2016.01.tar.bz2 files ), mounted the MSDOS partition of the latest RPI-B snapshot, and copied it. I did the wiki again, the Raspberry Pi 1 booted and the Camera module worked.
Probably the Raspberry Pi Zero (new version has the camera connector) will work too(I tested that the Zero and the New Zero booted. But I do not get the camera cable for the New Zero yet).

Add start_x.elf in rpi-boot-files-2016.01.tar.bz2, and the Camera module will work in the RaspberryPi 1 and Zero,

Assign to current maintainer.

(manu: is this PR still relevant?)
Comment 3 Emmanuel Vadot freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2019-10-07 09:19:40 UTC
It's installed in the rpi-firmware packages.
