The version in ports is outdated (1.9, May 2012) and the newest (1.10.4, July 2016) fixes many bugs and improvements. Most importantly, it has a new lua config system. It would be very useful to have it ported to FreeBSD. Please enable lua by default, so it's available as the binary package. (lua is a very small dependency) Thank you for taking care of this port. Best, Stefan
FYI, opening a PR to inform of a new version is against PR guidelines: https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/problem-reports/pr-when.html Chances are the maintainer was already aware. However, it's completely acceptable to write the maintainer directly to confirm and ask politely when a new version would be available. What is permitted (even encouraged) is submitting a patch that updates the version. If you really need this updated, then submit the changes and the maintain *has* to react within two weeks.
(In reply to John Marino from comment #1) Thank your for the info.
