10.3 was no problem to install. 11.0 same procedure as 10.3 but if I choose BSD Labels for partion schema there is the answer : This partition schema (BSD) is not bootable on this platform. I use a Lenovo T420s. Also on a common Asus PC the same problem. what is the difference of 10.3 and 11.0 ?
The difference is that crappy Lenovo firmware (UEFI) neither dumb enough to ignore the data and just execute the boot record nor smart enough to do something useful with the on-disk metadata. It also prefers to just fail hard if it doesn't understand the users intention. Your best bet is to install a UEFI only system. Failing that you can install a GPT formatted system with the Lenovo braindamage workaround. I don't know if the UFS installer supports those configurations.
