If its possible without much hassle it would be great to have these in Ports.

Unfortunately it's not too simple, as this depends on Linux tools which don't exist in FreeBSD (such as ethtool). It would probably be easier to write a FreeBSD utility that does something similar using the existing utilities in FreeBSD than to port this.

I'm honestly not really sure what to do with this bug.

I think it's best to close this bug as porting showtools seems to be impractical
because it relies on Linux-specific tools and procfs/sysfs/... as
