[root@vm202 ~]# service nslcd stop
nslcd not running?

[root@vm202 ~]# service nslcd start
nslcd already running?  (pid=27846).

# ps aux | grep daemon
...
root    27846   0.0  0.0  10428     0  -  IWs  -            0:00.00 daemon: /usr/local/bin/telegraf[27847] (daemon)

Which version of the port are you using?

pkg info|grep nss

Was running 0.8.14_3. Upgraded to 0.9.7 and it seems better now. Sorry for the noise!

Out of curiosity, which commit would have fixed this?

Setting the pidfile in the rc script fixed it.

Closing as this was resolved in a later portversion.
