Description MMacD 2017-04-28 18:19:26 UTC
Samba 4.2 nmbd segfaults when trying to start, whether by samba or by hand. Hoping to fix that, I did a general pkg upgrade.

That general pkg upgrade broke xorg for a little while since it couldn't find its config file. After getting that sorted and booting xorg, I found that xfce4 shows a grey background on the workspace and panel 2, but not panel 1. And the grey in panel 2 is not the one selected in the panel dialog.

Moreover, there no longer seems to be a way to assign a background image.

Apparently the grey background is a function of pkg having deleted xfce desktop and then not replaced/upgraded it.

is this still an issue after the recent port updates?

Can this PR be closed?

Thanks.

Looks like submitter solved it (comment #2).

Also timeout, and unable to reproduce.
