After upgrading to the current 53.0.3 from Quarterly, Firefox fails to display many images embedded in web pages.

Moving the .mozilla directory out of the way did not improve the situation: while the images on the welcome page seem to be correct, searching for images with Google still produces the result shown in the attached PNG.

Starting from an xterm does not produce any messages obviously related to the problem.

Firefox has version 57.0.4. Overcome by events.

This is probably true, and I do not have access to any hardware where I could reproduce the problem.
