Virtual FreeBSD 11.1-RC2 instance is panic's and reboots when guest addition tools are installed and enabled in rc.conf Ubuntu 16.04 host, running virtualbox 5.0.40_Ubuntu with FreeBSD-11.1-RC2-amd64.vmdk backed guest. Havn't been able to capture the panic as guest reboots straight away. I can reproduce the panic by; * creating a FreeBSD instance in the VirtualBox Manager, using existing disk from the FreeBSD-11.1-RC2-amd64.vmdk image. * once up and running use pkg to pull in virtualbox-ose-additions-5.1.22_1 * enable both vboxguest and vboxservice in /etc/rc.conf * reboot
We have 5.2.4. Is this still a problem?
Just tested with VirtualBox 5.2.6 on Ubuntu 16.04... FreeBSD-11.1-RELEASE-amd64.vmdk pkg'd in virtualbox-ose-additions, enabled in rc.conf reboot all working !! should be good to close this bug.
