On FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE, htop dumps core after several minutes. Sometimes it may take a bit longer. It is installed from "latest" pkg repository on HP z620 with Xeon CPU E5-1650 and 16GB ECC ram. $ htop --v htop 2.0.2 There are no messages left in logs. It just dumps core.

Hmm...I can not re-produce. I've run htop over 80mins, but it did not crash. Could you rebuild htop and try again?
I have been monitoring htop for the past several days, and I must say it does not dump core at the moment. Could it have been an issue on some other part of the servers environment? We do have htop running on all of our servers (about a dozen at the moment), as tmux session. I will continue monitoring htop and report back in case I see issues. In that case, I will make sure to attach the core dumped, for possible analysis. Thanks for checking this.
