Effort to bring the current branch (v2.x) of qupzilla to FreeBSD. Based on rezny@FreeBSD.org's port of version 1.x shar with initial port following shortly - I am still doing a couple of portlint / testport runs.
qupzilla2 will be part of KDE in the future and called falkon -- so maybe it would be better to wait with that port until the newly branded version is properly released and save us the svn mv? :) -- or just call it falkon already. http://blog.qupzilla.com/2017/08/qupzilla-is-moving-under-kde-and.html https://github.com/KDE/falkon
(In reply to Tobias C. Berner from comment #1) How far along is Qt 5.9? Qt 5.7 is what we have in ports right now. At any rate, I can certainly hold off on doing this or go with the new name. Having a working port for myself as we speak, I don't much care either way, really. What is your recommendation?
I want to update Qt 5.9.1 as soon as possible, but I cannot give an ETA at the moment.
Created attachment 186407 [details] new port shar file this is the port as it works for me. Tested with poudriere for 11.1-RELEASE on amd64.
(In reply to Tobias C. Berner from comment #3) Qt 5.9 is available now, but the falkon incubator project does not show much activity? https://community.kde.org/Incubator/Projects/Falkon Or am I missing something? Meanwhile, the 'old' qupzilla2 branch seems active: http://blog.qupzilla.com/2018/01/whats-new-in-qupzilla-224.html I have no qualms about calling this falkon, but I do hope we can add this to ports? qupzilla 1.x *is* becoming outmoded... Anyway, let me know your thoughts and I'll either update the current shar to reflect for recent changes or rename the thing to falkon and submit a new shar.
We recently added a port for falkon to the kde@ development repo: https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports-kde/tree/kde5-import/www/falkon mfg Tobias
(In reply to Tobias C. Berner from comment #6) Cool! Is that something that will also land in the regular ports tree at some point?
Yes, falkon requires Qt-5.9.* which we now have, so. I'll add it later.
(In reply to Tobias C. Berner from comment #8) Perfect. In that case, I'll close this PR as fixed.
