Since updating ncurses to 6.0.0s20171007 from 6.0_3, weechat configured with weechat.look.eat_newline_glitch no longer works. weechat.look.eat_newline_glitch is used to allow a terminal to detect long (longer than terminal width) URLs and create hyperlinks. Prior to ncurses 6.0.0s20171007, this functionality worked fine. When upgrading to 6.0_3, it no longer works. Downgrading to 6.0_3 resolves the issue. I'm not sure if this is a FreeBSD/ncurses 6.0.0s20171007 specific issue, or whether it affects other systems. However, a Linux machine running 6.0+20161126 works just fine.
Is this still an issue?
(In reply to Nathan from comment #1) Yes, this is still an issue with ncurses-6.1.20180728. Downgrading to ncurses-6.0_3 brings back the desired behavior.
Assign to maintainer.
Maintainer feedback,please!
This has never been in tree as far as I can tell and it's not in now either so we can safely close this.
(In reply to daniel.engberg.lists from comment #5) It was committed in r475966
